Together for Arab communities free from tobacco-related harm
The Arab Union for Tobacco Control brings together Arab associations, experts and institutions. It develops awareness, training and cessation programmes while addressing both conventional and emerging tobacco and nicotine products.
A regional union bringing Arab expertise together
The Arab Union for Tobacco Control (AUTC) is a regional non-governmental union bringing together Arab associations, organisations and individuals working to control tobacco use and reduce its harmful impact. The Union's founding president is Dr Wael Safwat.
AUTC works in coordination with Arab joint-action institutions and specialist regional and international organisations, foremost among them the World Health Organization. Its priorities include protecting children and young people, building capacity, strengthening tobacco-cessation services and responding to modern promotional practices.
